Services overview
The Services section covers labour charges, service packages, work orders, technician diagnosis, recommendations, and invoicing. Nothing on the service side can begin without a customer and customer vehicle.
Creating service packages
Under Services you create packages your shop offers, for example:
- Domestic oil changes
- Synthetic oil changes
- Spring tune-up
- Air conditioning maintenance
- Any other recurring or menu-priced work
Package fields
- Name for the package
- Service # for internal reference
- Category and a brief description for invoicing
- Extended notes for service advisors or technicians
- Package rates, shop hourly rate, and local tax rates for invoicing
Why this matters
When you bill from a work order, choosing a service package auto-fills price after Save. Hourly rate work uses hours entered × shop rate.
